Hi! I’m Sarah and I’m a freelance writer and creative copywriter based in Leicestershire. 

I’ve worked in the publishing industry for many years, in both online and editorial roles, building a varied portfolio of skills and experience – including everything from two hugely successful magazine redesigns to dressing up as Pudsey Bear while attempting to make the biggest greetings card in the world (unsuccessful, unfortunately – we were robbed! – but that’s another story…).

In 2016, a shift in lifestyle beckoned and I decided to pursue a career in freelance writing.

Parenting and weddings are my bag. With over 17 years’ experience working in and writing about these industries, you won’t find many copywriters with my insight into bridal trends, wedding planning and all things kid related. From the best bikes for four year olds to the must-read children’s books for celebrating diversity, I’ve covered it all. Oh, and I know more about kids’ car seats than is, quite frankly, necessary.

I’m a self-confessed words geek. As an experienced freelance copywriter, I’m passionate about helping businesses define their brand voice. I’ve worked with clients in the parenting, wedding and travel industry, writing engaging copy and well-researched blog posts to take their business to the next level.

I have also produced digital content for over 17 years, for market-leading websites including The Independent, MadeForMums.com, Original Travel, Family Traveller, Goodto.com and Culture Trip, covering everything from what I really think about Peppa Pig World to the weirdest traditions in the Cotswolds, so know exactly how to produce short, snappy copy that really works online.

Print will always have my heart. I've written features for a range of magazine and newspaper titles including The Telegraph, Tesco Magazine, Mollie Makes, Baby Magazine, Planet Mindful, Simply Vegan, Perfect Wedding, In The Moment, Harry & Meghan: Royal Wedding Preview, Simply Sewing and Wedding Ideas, enjoying the challenge of adapting my tone to speak to different audiences.
